This past Saturday our transfer boards came out, meaning we see what areas everyone will be serving in and who will be companions for the next 6 weeks. I will be staying here in Nampa with my greeny Hermana Sanchez! On Thursday though, Hermana Martin will be transferred to Caldwell, so our trio will be down to 2 :( We are kinda sad, but I am excited to be serving here for another transfer!
This was another pretty slow week. We spent a lot of time street contacting, trying to find new people to teach. Street contacting is SCARY, it's so hard to just walk up to someone and ask them if they want to hear about the gospel. But we were able to give our number out to a couple different people and have some good conversations.
Our Valentines Day was spent having our last district council :,( sad. Our district is being totally split up and separated for the next transfer, so that's really sad. I LOVED my district, we had an awesome group of missionaries.
This is a scripture that we shared with a family that is having a hard time this week. From the Bible, John 16:33, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Christ overcame the world. He overcame the trials, the evil, the opposition, the tribulation. All of it. We will face many similar challenges in our lives, but as we learn of Christ and come unto him, we can find peace through it all. Peace because we have a knowledge of someone who did it. Who overcame. Faith in our Savior Jesus Christ is the only thing that will make the worst of times seem bearable. Through faith comes peace, comfort, strength, and knowledge. Jesus Christ loves us. He overcame, for us.
I love you all!!
